Grant Stories

Whitehall’s Lewis and Clark Mural Restoration

Thanks to the dedication of Co-Chair John Kreis, the Whitehall Lewis and Clark Murals have been lovingly restored as part of his work with the Jefferson Valley Community Foundation and the Whitehall Chamber of Commerce.

Created by local artist Kit Mather, these ten murals—scattered throughout town—depict key moments from the Corps of Discovery’s journey through the Jefferson Valley, drawn directly from their historic journals. Whether you’re a history enthusiast or simply exploring Whitehall, this outdoor gallery is a captivating way to experience the Lewis and Clark story.

Supporting the Whitehall Pool

Funding for the Whitehall Pool has played a vital role in keeping the facility open and well-maintained over the years.

In addition, the Jefferson Valley Star Youth Grant helps ensure that children who might not otherwise afford admission can enjoy swimming by providing them with free passes.
